Itinerary

CHIN HILL

Mt Victoria of 3400 meter high is the perfect place for nature lovers. Soft trekking, butterfly and bird watching are available. The old tradition of tattooing face is fading fast but still can be seen in some villages.

Roads are still very bad so this excursion is not recommended for rainy season ( May to Oct ). As for accommodations, only very simple guest house are available so this excursion is suitable only for the adventurous clients.

Day 01 Bagan – Kampalet

After breakfast at hotel in Bagan, drive to Chauk 43 km from Bagan by jeep and visit Chauk market, then proceed to Saw via Seik phyu, lunch at there, after lunch drive to Kampalet 131 km from Chauk. Arrived Kampalet, check in at old British Guest House, dinner and overnight. (L,D)

Day 02 Kampalet ( Trekking )

After breakfast, drive to Esakkan ( 16 km from Kampalet ), then trekking to around Pauk village ( 4 hours ) to see good ever green forest with large Oaks and laurels and later change in to a dry low pine forest with rhododendron. It is a quiet entertainment with numerous land of native birds. Esakkan village is a small chin settlement some way down the steep valley hillside. Then drive back to Kampalet, dinner and overnight. Day 03 Kampalet – Mindat

After breakfast, drive to Mindat via saw 67 km from Kampalet, You will have a great opportunity to stop over some of villages or field hut for a same soul interactions over a good cup of boiled water. Dinner and overnight at Mindat Guest House. (B,L,D)

Day 04 Mindat Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit around this unique Chin settlement town. You will have a dinner with local Chin traditional dance over a bonfire. You will all be joining in a circle round the fire. Overnight at Mindat huesthouse. (B,L,D)

Day 05 Mindat – Bagan

After breakfast, drive back to Bagan ( 203 km ). Lunch at Saw, dinner and overnight in Bagan. (B,L)
