Luangprabang-Vientaine-Hanoi-Hue-Hoian-Saigon-Siemriep-Phnompenh

Day1: Arrival-Luang Prabang

Upon arrival at the airport, you are met and transferred to the hotel. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After a short rest, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai; we then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. From there, we explore Street Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day2:  Luang Prabang-Pak Ou cave-Khouangsi Waterfall (B)

This morning you may want to wake up early and participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black Alms-giving bowls being given offerings from the local people, including the ubiquitous sticky rice.

AM:   After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving.

PM: You will visit the morning Phosi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local village of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest paths, return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Phanom, a well known weaving village, return to the city by late evening, for observing the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath. Day3: Luang Prabang-Vientiane (B)

The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign, and the Central Market are not to be missed. We visit these sights, this morning before we catch a flight back to Vientiane. Upon arrival, we see the major temples including the oldest Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous, sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, sunset by Mekong Riverside and late evening. Day4: Vientiane-Hanoi (B)

After breakfast, we visit the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong (if time permits). Then transfer to Wattay Airport to take flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in and relax

Day 5: Hanoi-Halong (B, L)

After breakfast we cross the Red River towards Halong. The three-hours-drive stops en route at Hong Ngoc, where we will have time for a drink and see local people manufactoring different kinds of handicrafts.

In Ha Long Bay we will board a junk for a fantastic cruise through Ha Long Bay (approx. five hours).

We will enjoy lunch with fresh catched sea food while having a cool drink before we leave the boat to see the Heavenly Palace Cave, one of the highlights around the bay.

Day 6: Halong-Half-day Hanoi city tour (B)

In the morning, we return to Hanoi and continue with half-day excursion in Hanoi. We will visit the Historical Museum, the One-Pillar-Pagoda and the historical Temple of Literature. Then on to a cyclo tour in the Old Quarter with its lively and narrow streets as well as we will visit a typical local market. In the early evening we will attend a performance of a traditional Hanoian Water Puppet Theatre.

Day 7: Hanoi-Hue (B)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for a short flight to Hue. Upon arrival the guide will meet you and bring you to your hotel.

After check-in we will have a short break before we head on to the see the Imperial City, an impressive complex, first built in 17th century based on the ancient practice of geomancy. We will visit Khai Dinh tomb and the Dong Ba market.

Day 8: Hue-Hoi An (B)

In the morning we leave the hotel for a boat ride on the Perfume River. Then on to Thien Mu Pagoda, which is located on the southwest bank of the river. The Pagoda was the centre of Buddhism in Central Vietnam.

We continue to Hoi An. En route we will have a stop in Lang Co, where we have a short break. Lunch optional

In Hoi An your guide will pick you up in the evening for an amazing walk through the illuminated ancient part of the city.

Day 9: Hoi An-Danang-Saigon (B)

In the morning we will have a short drive to Da Nang airport and take a flight to Saigon, the Metropole of the South. In the afternoon we discover the city and come to see the Cathedral, the War Remnants museum before we end the day with a visit to China Town.

Day 10: Excursion to Mekong Delta (B/L)

We depart from the hotel in the morning and drive southwards to the Vinh Long Province, which is situated between two branches of the downstream Mekong river.

On arrival, we enjoy a boat trip along the river’s narrow waterways, overhung with dense vegetation. We will have the opportunity to try exotic fruits in one of the many orchards. For lunch (optional) we will serve you the local delicacy - an Elephant’s-Ear fish. We continue with a visit to the Caibe floating market before we drive back to Saigon.

Day 11: Saigon-Phnom Penh (B)

Transfer to airport to take flight to Phnompenh. After a arrive Phnom Penh, pick up and transfer to check in hotel. Phnom Penh. We will start touring around Phnom Penh. We will visit to the Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda, the Independence Monument and  Toul Sleng genocide museum. Overnight in Phnom Penh

Day 12: Phnom Penh-Siem Riep (B)

In the morning we departure to the airport to take the flight to Siem Riep.

Continue to visit Siem Riep, the base for visiting the world famous temples of the ancient city Angkor: South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as most complete structure of Angkor Wat which was built by King Suryavarman II in the middle of the 12th century over a period of about 30 years. In the afternoon we visit the Ta Promh, Angkor Wat and view sunset from Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Riep

Day 13: Temples of Angkor (B)

Full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre and Victory Gate: Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo and Banteay Kdei. Overnight in Siem Riep

Day 14: Siemriep Depart (B)

Transfer to airport to take flight to your next destination
