THAILAND / MYANMAR COMBINE TOUR

Itinerary

Day 01 Bangkok – Chiang Mai

Pick up passengers from major hotel in Bangkok and transfer to Domestic Airport for flight to Chiangmai ( TG 102 at 0815/0925 hrs ) . Arrive Chiangmai and transfer to hotel for check –in. ( No lunch included )
Afternoon drive through beautiful scenery to Doi Suthep temple reached by a Naga ( dragon-headed serpent ) staircase of 306 steps. The less energetic will be pleased to know that there is a cable car up the hill on a clear day the panoramic views of the city from the temples grounds are truly spectacular.
Dinner and overnight at hotel. ( D )

Day 02 Chiang Mai

Breakfast. Full day elephant safari + bamboo rafting & ox cart tour
Visit the Mae Ping elephant camp first to see show. You get a chance on the ride elephants crossing the Mae Ping river and up the hill. This last about 1 hour. Then they return by ox-cart to the elephant village where rafting and adventure starts from here and last for approximate 45 minutes along the Mae Ping river where this place is relatively unspoiled. Then return to hotel on the way visit one of the region’s orchid farms displaying a full variety of some of Thailand’s exquisite blooms. Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon you will visit the district of Sankampaeng, home to Chiangmai ‘ s famous cottage industries. Which how artisans continue make their products by hand and you will of course have the opportunity to hunt for the perfect souvenir

Evening enjoy Kantoke dinner. Tonight will be treated to the ceremonial north Thai dinner known as Kantoke . Traditional dishes will be served while you watch elegant dancers performing a series of folk stories. Colorfully dressed, hill tribes will perform their own traditional dances after dinner. Day 03 Chiang Mai – Tha Ton – Chiang Rai

After breakfast , depart Chiangmai to the north, along one of the most scenic routes to Chiang Rai at Tha- Ton. Thai set lunch en route at a local restaurant in Thaton. After lunch, we board long-tailed boat from nearby our lunch address for an exiting 4 hours long tailed boat ride from Thaton to Chiang Rai, where en route, we have planned stop along the way visit the local hill tribe villages , built along the banks of the Maekok River. In the afternoon, we arrive at the Chiang Rai boat landing from where it is only a short transfer to your chosen hotel. Dinner and Overnight at hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 04 Chiang Rai - Tachileik – Kyaing Tong by car

Breakfast. Early morning transfer from hotel to Mae Chan to visit hill tribes and long –neck Karen then continue to visit the exact spot where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet, was called “The Golden Triangle”. Lunch at Imperial Golden Triangle Resort, after lunch transfer to visit Chiang Saen the historical city, then transfer to Mae Sai where Thai and Burmese locals walking across the bridge separating the two countries. Depart Chiangrai across Tachileik border for Myanmar entry.

Meet on arrival at Tachileik border point with our guide and car. Drive to Kyaing Tong by car about 3.5 hrs. Visit Lone Tree Hill & Town View Point, U Mulein Da’s Tai Khun Lacquerware Works & Sightseeing around the Naung Tong Lake. Dinner and overnight at Princess Hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 05 Kyaing Tong

American Breakfast at Hotel. Morning visit to Kyaing Tong Bazaar and meeting multi hill tribes. Hiking to Hokyin “Akha” people villages. Observing traditional Yan-gone Pottery Work. Visiting RCM Church, former times’ Italian Missionary. Lunch with lunch box. Visit Akha Centre Village and Weaving Works where traditional clothes are made before exporting to Thailand. Dancing “Lan Woan” in Loi-Lone village with full-dressed “Khun” beautiful girls. Evening visit the standing big Buddha Image built on Zoam-sak Hill with Khmer background history.
Dinner and Overnight at Princess Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 06 Kyaing Tong – Heho – Inle Lake by flight

After breakfast at Hotel 5 minutes walk to Kyaing Tong Bazaar & see many minority people shopping in morning. Then visit “ Maha Myatmuni phaya gyi “ the most glorious temple of Kyaing Tong. Lunch at local restaurant. The highest “ Zoam Taung Pagoda” & Blacksmithing Works nearby the Pagoda. Several Century years old wooden Wet- In Monastery. Transfer to airport for fly to Heho. Upon arrival Heho, transfer to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake is situated. Check in at hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 07 Inle Lake – Heho – Mandalay by Pm flight

After breakfast, proceed to Indein by boat. The hidden treasure of Pao Tribes people. Sightseeing sport are Indein Pagoda and local workshops. Then return to Inle and afternoon visit to Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, Silver & gold smith, cheroot making, Industry. Lunch at local restaurant. Tour continue to the Paungdaw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating gardens; native methods of fishing and Stilt house villages life on the lake. Late afternoon transfer to Heho Airport for fly to Mandalay. Dinner at outside local restaurants. Overnight at Hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 08 Mandalay – Bagan by Pm flight

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to the famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay. Then a short visit to Gold foil making cottage industry. Lunch at local restaurant.Then will be enjoying Mandalay sightseeing to the Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular view. Evening transfer to airport for fly to Bagan. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at Hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 09 Bagan

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be taken to Shwezigon Pagoda a prototype of later Myanmar stupa. Then to Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural pain-tings of Jataka scenes. Lunch at outside local restaurant.

Afternoon sightseeing tour continues with visits to lacquerware industry where you can study traditional Myanmar lacquerware making, Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king's impression of life in prison; Nanpaya, an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings. Although it has spots lights installed, it would be safer to bring your own touch as electricity supply can be shut-off from time to time.

In the evening you will be visiting the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross. Dinner at outside local restaurants. Then return to hotel and overnight at Hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 10 Bagan – Yangon by Am flight

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to Nyaung Oo Airport for fly to Yangon. Upon arrival Yangon visit Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, a colossal reclining Buddha Image and Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument and Sule Pagoda, located at the heart of the Yangon City. There are still many photo shops around the Sule Pagoda which exist since the British time and you could have a black & white photo of yourself taken with an antique camera.
Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon visit the Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware and all sorts of handicraft. Then evening visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats! At sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. Dinner at outside local restaurants. Overnight at Hotel. ( B,L,D )

Day 11 Yangon – Bangkok

After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to airport for International departure. ( B )
