ITINERARY
10 DAYS / 9 NIGHTS



11 Jan 2010. Arrival Yangon ( by moning flight ) ( L,D )
Welcome upon arrival at Yangon Airport and transfer to hotel. Stay at relax after your long flight. Lunch at outside local restaurant.
Afternoon visit Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city and Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha image .
Dinner with cultural show at Karaweik Palace restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Yangon.



12 Jan 2010. Yangon - Heho ( by morning flight ) Inle lake ( B,L,D )
Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to airport for flight to Heho. On arrive, drive to Nyaung Shwe ( 45 minutes ) where Inle lake is situated and check in at hotel.
Excursion to Inle Lake ( by boat ), famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty. Tour highlights: Paungdaw Oo Pagoda; wonderful floating gardens , Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, and Stilt house villages life on the lake. Lunch at outside local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Inle.



13 Jan 2010. Indein , Heho - Mandalay ( by evening flight ) ( B,L,D )
After breakfast, proceed to Indein by boat. The hidden treasure of Pao Tribes people. Sightseeing spots are Indein Pagoda and local workshops. Then return to Inle and afternoon visit to Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, Silver & gold smith, cheroot making, black smith and cotton and silk weaving Industry. Lunch at outside local restaurant. Late afternoon transre to the airport for flight to Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay and transfer to the hotel.
Dinner at outside local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.



14 Jan 2010. Mandalay & Amarapura ( B,L,D )
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, drive to Amarapura and visit Mahagandayon monastery and 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with over huge teak pillars. Then proceeding to famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddha Image in Mandalay , a short visit to Gold foil making cottage industry. Check-in at hotel and followed by lunch at outside local restaurant.
Mandalay afternoon sightseeing that begins with Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World's Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.
It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Dinner at outside local restaurant, Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.



15 Jan 2010. Mandalay - Shwebo ( to see solar eclipse ) - Mandalay ( B,L,D )
Breakfast at hotel. Late morning drive to Shwebo , about ( 2hr30mins drive ). A riverside town on the Ayarwaddy which is famous for glazed pottery works from toys, cups, letters, bowls, pots to huge water jars that are tied in hundreds and floated down the river as rafts. Further interesting places to visit are pagodas and old city site as Shwebo was the first capital of the last dynasty of Myanmar Kings. Lunch at local restaurant with lunch box taken from Sedona Hotel.
In the afternoon continue to view the event of solar eclipse from the area. Eclipse at Shwebo is ( 22° 35' 17" N ), ( 95° 42' 01" E ) , at local time around ( 1:00 p.m ), and maximum eclipse is at ( 15:04 p.m ), lasting 8 mins 32 sec.
Late afternoon drive back to Mandalay.
Dinner at outside local restaurant, Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.



16 Jan 2010. Mingun excursion , Ava - Amarapura ( B,L,D )
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to jetty for 45 minutes boat trip to Mingun. Sightseeing around Mingun includes: Mingun pagoda known as the biggest brick pile, biggest ringing Mingun bell and Myatheintan Pagoda.
Then visit to Inwa ( Ava ), a historical capital founded by King Thado Minbya in 1364. Extended visit by horse carts will be made to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery which is a fine example of Myanmar masonry art and architecture, Mainu Brick Monastery and old watch tower. Then proceed to Amarapura and visit 1.2 km long U Bein Wooden Bridge, built since 1782 with huge teak pillars, is one of the worth visiting sites. Dinner at outside local restaurant, Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.



17 Jan 2010. Mandalay - Bagan ( by boat ) (06:00 - 16:00hrs) ( B,L,D )
After breakfast transfer to Jetty for a whole riverine cruise on the majestic Ayeyarwaddy River from Mandalay to Nyaung Oo. Enjoy the extraordinary scenic and interesting sights along the picturesque Ayeyarwaddy River on Shwe Kein Nayee boat with the capacity of (200) passengers, air-conditioned Hall provided with comfortable reclining seats. Lunch on board. Arrive at Nyaung Oo Jetty in the evening and transfer to hotel .
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.
( * The boat trip is not guarantee for daily departure but just depending on passenger load, so n case boat trip is not perating we will alternatively use by flight , evening departure only. )



18 Jan 2010. Bagan ( B,L,D )
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll be taken to Shwezigon Pagoda a prototype of later Myanmar stupa, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural pain-tings of Jataka scenes and to lacquerware industry where you can study traditional Myanmar lacquerware making. Afternoon visit Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king's impression of life in prison; Nanpaya, an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings. Although it has spots lights installed, it would be safer to bring your own touch as electricity supply can be shut-off from time to time.
In the evening you will be visiting the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross. Lunch & dinner at outside local restaurants. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.



19 Jan 2010. Bagan - Yangon ( by evening flight ) ( B,L,D )
After breakfast morning sightseeing tour begins with Shwe Gukyi temple for panoramic morning beauty of old Bagan area. Here you will have the chance to study the ruin palace site of Bagan. Then visit to the highest temple of Bagan "Thatbyinnyu". Then to Dhammayangyi, a massive temple with the finest brickwork.
Then a last temple before lunch, will be Sulamuni temple where you can see fine frescos from 18th century Kone Baung era and it also has a beautiful back round history so make sure you get that. We recommend you to rest in the hottest part of the day as it can be intense heat in the middle of the days.
Late afternoon visit Minnan thu village to see the typical Myamar style of village life. Then proceed to Lay Myathna and Phaya Thonezu Temple and have a stroll among the ruin temple. Overview of Bagan temple from nearby temple called Tayoke Pyay and that calls for that day. Lunch & dinner at outside local restaurants. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.


20 Jan 2010. Departure ( by evening flight ) ( B,L )
Breakfast at hotel. Morning the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats! and the Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic "Shan Bag" velvet slippers, lacquer ware and all sorts of handicraft. Lunch at local restaurant.
Evening transfer to airport for departure.
