"Air Mandalay" Limited is a joint venture between Air Mandalay Holdings and Myanma Airways and commenced its operation from Yangon to Mandalay on 01 November 1994. Air Mandalay with one ATR 72 and two ATR 42 Aircrafts operates its golden flights from Yangon to Bagan, Mandalay, Heho, Tachileik, Kyaing Tong and Sittwe regularly and to Thandwe during the period of October to May. In addition to these domestic destinations, international routes are also operated from Yangon to Chiang Mai, Chaing Mai to Mandalay and operates charter flights to any feasible destinations upon request.
"Yangon Airways" was established in October 1996 as a domestic joint venture airline between Myanmar Airways and Krong-Sombat Co. of Thailand. In October 1997, MHE Mayflower Co. acquired Krong Sombat’s shares in Yangon Airways and since then, the airline has evolved into a principal domestic airline operating schedule and charter services from Yangon to 13 prime commercial and tourist destinations in Myanmar.
A new domestic airline called "Air Bagan" is now operating in Myanmar by using three aircrafts: Fokker 100(106 capacity flight), ATR 72( 70 capacity flight ), ATR 42( 44 capacity flight ). It flies toYangon, Mandalay, Nyaung Oo, Heho, Tachileik, Kyaing tong, Myaikyina, Putao, Myeik, Kawthaung and Pathein. Air Bagan is also available for Charter flight services.
