The M.S. Hintha is a traditional teak-built Ayeyarwady vessel. Following an extensive refit, she is now taking international guests up the Ayeyarwady and Chindwin Rivers.
She has been renovated with an eye for detail and with a love of Myanmar and its people. She has a luxury sundeck with bes-poke wooden lounger chairs and the trendiest and most beautiful bar on the river.
Based in Mandalay, the M.S. Hintha is running regular three day, two night cruises but is also available for charter cruises. She provides a wonderfully civilised and comfor-table way to enjoy the river life of Myanmar.
For day trips, she has a capacity of up to 36 passengers. For overnight trips, she has 4 delightful, twin, ensuite cabins.
The M.S. Hintha is 87 feet (26.5 metres) in length and 23 feet (7.2 metres) in breadth. She has an experienced crew and deck staff and a running speed of up to 14 knots (26 km/hour).
The cabins include two single beds, at least two, large picture windows looking out on to the river, a bathroom with European style toilet, shower and basin.
The lower deck has 4 twin-bedded cabins. They are lovingly designed, using local materials and crafts.
On the upper deck there is a sun terrace with a retractable awning and luxury sun-lounger style chairs.
Each has its own ensuite bathroom with a shower, basin, mirror, and European style toilet.
There is additional seating on the afterdeck for taking tea or for simply enjoying the panoramic views of the river. There is a beautiful bar with a range of alcoholic and soft drinks.
For those special occasions, the upper deck is the perfect location for a party. Why not enjoy a glass of champagne watching the moon rise over the hills?
Candlelight dining is, of course, magnificent. Charter the boat and celebrate your birthday with friends...a wedding reception?
